About Guy

The short version.

Guy Sigley grew up with two parents who worked in the entertainment industry. He studied Law and Arts at Deakin University, although he found university work tended to get in the way of reading novels. He eventually finished his double degree and started writing fiction of his own.

Guy has written the Barney Conroy trilogy and Anxious Hearts, which was published by Echo Publishing in 2025. His next novel, When Will I Be Cool?, is due in 2027.

Guy made two seasons of The Guy Sigley Show, talking about music and the 1990s.

These days he hosts One-Eyed Dog, a podcast about the Western Bulldogs, with his long-time mate Smitty.

He's coached junior soccer and netball despite never playing either sport, and has occasionally tried his hand at goal umpiring.

Guy lives in Melbourne with his wife, three children and a ragdoll cat.

When Will I Be Cool?

It’s 1993. Daniel Ferrars is fifteen, desperate to be cool, and convinced a school exchange to France will change his life. It’s probably not going to be that simple.
